Work online! Make millions!!!

Have you ever started an online business and failed? I’m sure most of us have! In fact if you have not, you are in the minority! Let me tell you a little about an experience I had trying to work from home last year.

An online business search

I was looking for a “stay at home mom” job online and I saw a Facebook ad for just that. You know, all the family smiles and they are on holiday somewhere? Then there is a long paragraph on how YOU can do it too! I messaged the ad and found out some more information. I was still interested in finding how I could make 40,000$$ a day!

I watched a FREE webcast and heard from a million people who “got rich” I was interested. But I still had no idea what the business was. I then paid 99$ USD to learn more about how I can sign up. I was still interested but wondering why they would not tell me what I was doing online for the money!

They said there was no sales, nothing to buy. That was untrue, I had to buy Facebook ads (that is fine, business costs money to promote!) A domain and website (same, costs money to make money) and a monthly fee for funnels and all that (still fine, business costs money)

A work at home scam?

And then I was told I had to buy a 10,000 product to start! And that in order for people to sign up under me, they have to buy it too…. I was confused. Was this not selling? And a massive sale to boot!

I did not want to take out a loan for a business ( I want to make money, not spend it!) And would I really be able to convince people to buy one myself? I have to be upfront with people, and I would feel bad for leading them all the way- then asking for 10,000! They wanted me to take out a loan for the fees which I simply could not justify to my husband.

Girl Boss” Businesses

Another online program that I ran across was a *girl boss* based online marketing job. This was when all sorts of women found power from working online. Although I could not get excited about selling hair products and paying 340$ to start. Again I am sure there are business like this that bring in big money, but I wanted to make real money, and not depend on my friends to buy hair products from me (and they were not happy to find out the products started at 29.99 each!

Girl boss or not, I could not wrap my head around the concept of selling to people, who may buy things they don’t want to support my “business”

A legit work from home business

That’s why I was so happy to find this business opportunity. I was really starting to wonder if there where any real “work online” opportunities or if they were all a money grab. I was scared at first that once I got past a certain point they would start asking for investments and large start up fees. But it never happened yet!

I know people are making money with these other businesses, crazy good money, but I don’t want to spend all the upfront costs and then 10,000$$. I also don’t want to sell make up or hair care, I just don’t care that much about them (some people do and that’s super cool too!) I always like to support business of any kind.
